TEDxBRUM marking the map creative shift

Earlier this year we had the pleasure of hosting the remarkable TedxBrum. An inspirational day of speakers, coming together under the theme of ‘Marking the Map’.

We know that many people who would have liked to attend were unable to, due to tickets selling out, and a few other events going on the same day in the area. So, we’re pleased to see that the talks are now going live on the TedxTalks YouTube channel.

The talks are wide ranging – you can see Alison Smith on Disability and Digital Exclusion, Anita Bhalla OBE on Culture and Creativity as the City’s DNA , Lucy Bastin on Mapping and Reliable Information, Jamie Smith on Education in a Digital Age, George Cave on Mountaineering and Hi-Tech , Stuart Walker on Radical Design for Sustainability, Wanjiku Nyachae on From Fitting in To Belonging, or Justice Williams MBE on Creating Change through Inspiration.

We thought we’d leave you today with the talk from Birmingham poet and creator of the One Million Lovely Letters Project, Jodi Ann Bickley, that left not a dry eye in the house – for anyone that needs a mid-week boost.
