You may have seen us announce this recently on our Facebook page (if not, then please like us!) – we have an upcoming collaboration with the Producers’ Forum. We’re delighted that after the success of our How to Network training programme, including delivering a devoted session to Birmingham University,  Helga will be leading a How to Network session for the Producers’ Forum on the 6th November at the Mac from 6:30pm – 8:30pm. Helga has recently joined the board of the PF, and is therefore really looking forward to this event. The evening will cover the steps to building a powerful business network in a way that works for you. The talk is aimed at film-makers and allied professionals who want to be better at building strong, cohesive networks of people including audiences, clients, peers or customers or potential customers. It aims to leave you better equipped to make relevant and timely sales to customers or bring in new ideas and information to innovate your products or services. This is “networking” training that allows you to work from first principles in order to develop your own style and approach. There will of course also be plenty of time to practise your newfound skills and get some actual networking in!

Feedback from previous ‘How to Network’ course attendees includes:

“I learnt so much and I now have my own action plan on what I am going to
do differently when it comes to networking and just as importantly, what I
am going to do after the event!”

If you would like to attend please email info@producersforum.org.uk , non members of the organisation are welcome to attend up to 3 meetings before joining. The Producers’ Forum is an independent organisation serving the community of film makers and content producers in Birmingham and the West Midlands, so if you are part of these industries it may well be worth you taking a look!
